Tinubu’s Govt Have Borrowed More Than All Past Administrations – ADC Chieftain

A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dele Momodu, has accused the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of excessive borrowing and poor accountability.
Momodu said the ruling All Progressives Congress has continued to shift blame to the past government despite being a political extension of the previous administration.
According to him, the party often criticises former President Muhammadu Buhari while still defending its own policies.
Momodu also criticised the size of the national budget. He said the government frequently boasts of running budgets in trillions of naira but has not clearly shown Nigerians what the money has been used for.
He added that there is no evidence the budget has been properly balanced or translated into real benefits for citizens.
He maintained that the impact of these loans is not visible in the lives of ordinary Nigerians.
“You (Tinubu’s govt) have taken more loans than all the governments of Nigeria combined. We have not seen the effects of that loan. So, a lot is going on that Nigerians cannot understand, but there is a preponderance of propagandists who are willing to delete their brains and sell their souls.”
He insisted that Nigerians deserve transparency on how borrowed funds are being spent and what concrete achievements have resulted from the massive loans.
